there's one thing to telling the truth: the world can never throw at you what you haven't already said yourself. Makes you a lot less vulnerable to the vicissitudes of wagging tongues and hurtful words.
I am talking of a thief who knows he is not going to get caught...should he still confess to the world his crime?
