Light and sound
In a fit of sibling rivalry
Competed in a speed race
Goaded by scientists
Light won by a light year
Though at times, sound cast its spell profound
Like when a singer opens her heart...
It emanates from the deepest recesses within,
and touches a place beyond the sky
Or when a a child cries on an aeroplane carrying scientists
Makes them wonder, why did they want to measure speeds at all?
