Like and Love

When you like someone for all the niceness that they bring forth to the world, for their sense of humor, for their patience, for their generosity, for their ability to give...remember that you're liking the person for what he is. That's not love. Its easy to confuse the two. Love is a bond. It must lose its relevance if its one sided.

You are right. It is indeed confusing.

Love is a bond. There are expectations.

But isn't loving someone for who he is as a person a form of love too? Unconditional love?

Anubha...I didn't mean bond as something that binds you with expecations...but more a relationship where there's mutual, unsaid give and take..

I personally don't believe in unconditional love...you are getting something from loving someone, however intangible, it satisfies a need in you...Is it unconditional love or obsession?
