The Fall

It doesn't battle gravity
Waltzes with the wind instead
Twirls and spins
As delicately as a ballet dancer swirls her feet
Like dervishes lost in trance. Dancing to forget the world and themselves
It has to fall, we have to die
Even in that, it designs a moment magical that'll stay with you fossilized
Lessons from nature, the greatest artist, an artist's muse
No one remembers the fate after the fall
Only the grace it left us with, the beauty it crafted for us all

P.S: This poem came to me after I saw a leaf falling. It fell with so much peace and serenity, that I had to write about it.
